Woke up late this morning. damn. Rushed to get ready and go out groceries shopping but received a call from Carol saying she wanted to come over to get the iron. In the end, we waited for her to finish her ironing then only we went out. Dropped by Arndale Market to check out the fish, prawns and mussels. Then quickly walked over to Chinatown to get the ingredients we lacked for preparing the meal. Finally got home at 1430 and started the prep.
YY started cleaning the mussels(eww the raw smell) and I started cutting up the other dry ingredients. My gums hurt quite badly and at one point I got so mad with him and he just ignored me n went to sleep. Idiot!
So I started deep-frying the prawns and got hot oil flying everywhere, even on my hands!(Owww...) Then I cooked the chilli mussels and let the steamer take care of the fish. Gosh...so tiring! Quickly washed the pot and cooked butter prawns. Smelt quite awesome but didn't even have time to think.
Once everything was done, woke YY up and quickly washed up and cleared away the stuff we used for prep. It was almost time Kik and Taam were supposed to have arrived. Luckily they came by a little later than expected. HEHE
Anyway, it was good that they enjoyed the meal. And probably not as much beer as we had over at their place. I don't think I'll ever cook so many dishes anymore. Sigh. Must settle my work first. Maybe I'll go become a chef or something after I graduate...HAHA(Right)
