more sunshine

source: ITNI love the weather these days. So much sunshine I'm not complaining and yet not too hot. The days are longer too. It does get kind of cold on some nights, especially when it rains.
Forecast says it's going to be a sunny weekend. How awesome. Would be good if we could actually do some BBQ on the balcony...hehe

going home
Well it's been decided, we're definitely going back to Malaysia to sort out some stuff in September for a while. Hopefully everything will settle as quick as possible for me to get back here and look for a job >.<
It'll be good to meet up with everyone and perhaps I could attend that SMC reunion in October. I miss lots and lots of people!!! =D Must go check out the dates and times on FB!!!
Finally received the notification for the Home Office that they've received my application. Still wondering how long the whole process would take. Can't really plan out anything until I've gotten the visa back ^^

so little time
Back in Manchester and have got tons to do. Still need to plan out an itinerary for Dad & Mum when they get back from their Europe trip.
Thankfully Edmund got us the mobile broadband to use temporarily. Can't do much with it except surf and Facebook. Better than nothing XD At least no need for the trips to Uni...

london & priscilla
Got ready early hoping to catch an early bus to the train station but totally forgot that I hadn't printed out the ticket vouchers for the musical tonight. Was supposed to have done it last night...DAMN
Wasted time trying to get it printed. It just didn't want to work on the laser printer so finally had to use the inkjet. Got on the bus about 15 mins later and headed to the station.
Purchased the GroupSave travelcards and was quite bummed to find out we couldn't get onto the ultra fast train anymore. So we waited for the FCC one which didn't have too many stops, luckily.
Reached St Pancras International in 45 mins. Uncle was really gung-ho in showing Mum & Dad lots of places today. We headed to Knightsbridge, first stop: Harrods. Then we walked through Kensington Gardens to Hyde Park, St James Park, Green Park, Buckingham Palace, Admiralty Arch and stopped by Trafalgar Square for lunch.
We continued on to the House of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, crossed the Thames river and walked along the banks to ward the London Eye and Royal Festival Hall. Had tea at the usual place, near Min's and Sharon's apartments and walked some more towards Will's office near the Tate Modern.
Left Uncle with Will and headed with Daddy Mummy to St Paul's Cathedral. More picture snapping and mind you, we did tons already today. It was around half 5 when we arranged with Min to meet up at Covent Garden.
Not knowing how to walk from that area, we opted to use the Tube >.< Bad timing too. Had a quick dinner at a nearby Malaysian cafe(food was good actually and fairly cheap) and met Uncle & Will outside the Palace Theatre for the Priscilla musical.

Seats were awfully high and were not that great but it was still an interesting experience. It was the first time I'd been to a musical after being in the UK for so long and I wonder why I didn't exactly make the effort to try them out. The last one I'd been to was ages ago for CATS with PM, Jeff, Agnes and a whole bunch of us from MMU. Will need to bring Dearie to one some day...HAHA
Loved the musical too especially the singing & dancing. It's so colourful ^^ This reminds me, must get Uncle proper glasses soon...he's just too vain(LOL)
By the time we got back to Luton, it was almost midnight. Exhausting day but TOTALLY enjoyable.

i ♥ philosophy:

The products are wee bit on the expensive side but love the texture and how little I need to use. Read many great reviews on the hope series!!! I've only purchased two of them at the moment. So far only Selfridges carries the brand in the UK...I wonder why...
Hopefully it'll do my skin some good...LOL
Previously used kiehl's which was alright really. Just thought I'd change for fun. Am still using some of their products together with the philosophy: ones.
They seem to work well together =)

st albans & roast dinner
Aunty Evelyn dropped by the farm today and we gathered for a group photo and quick bite from last night's leftovers. Min went back to London while Will and Sharon stayed back to help around the house.
She then drove me, Dad, Mum and Uncle to St Albans, a nearby town. Picturesque town I should say, with its cathedral and parks...lovely. Took more photos inside the cathedral when Mum Dad and Aunty followed the tour.
After probably two hours, we walked towards the oldest pub in UK, Ye Olde Fighting Cocks. Got ourselves some drinks at the bar and I noticed the sewing hanging on the wall. It was the exact same picture that Grandma had in her house. Made sure I took a shot to show it to her...hehehe
It was a really funny building to be in. The ceilings were quite low and we were discussing how much people have grown over the years. HAHA After the drinks, we drove out in search of the Roman wall; there wasn't much left of it really.
It started raining again so we drove back to Aunty Evelyn's house in Hemel Hempstead for a lovely pot of Japanese green tea and some chocolate cake. Interestingly enough, her birthday fell on the same day as Min's.
Did a short drive after that to see some old houses, the canals and barges nearby. We then headed back to the farm for Uncle John's roast dinner. Yummy!!! Did however regret not taking a photo of my plate to show Ying how each person's portion would look like...

He'd been trying to show my parents the English way of life ever since they got here. ^^ They actually made bets about whether they were gonna lose or gain weight after their UK & Europe trip...sigh
OK...better go start the dishwasher now

Happy Birthday Sis...
It is Min's birthday today. We're having BBQ in a while.
Uncle John brought us to Bedford today. Walked around the town and the boys' school. He bought some fresh fruits and vegetables from the market and it was a very busy day. Had sandwiches for lunch and walked some more. Loved the sunshine but it started to rain right before we left.
We dropped by Sainsburys again to get some more food and picked Auntie up from the day care centre on the way back. Once we got back to the farm, we were all pleasantly shocked by the appearance of Uncle Chong.
Uncle John was definitely very happy to see him. They always seem to click anyway. Apparently only Richard knew about him coming to England which he initially came for work and extended his stay. Haven't seem him for ages also...hehe
So yes. It is going to be a good reunion.
Happy Birthday again my dear. Don't miss him too much.
Hugs.

Luton Day One
Uncle picked me up from MK and headed to McD. When we got to the farm, we realised Grandma had made lunch >.< so we had to eat a little and leave some for tea.
Then we jumped into the car and headed to Sainsburys for groceries. After unloading the car, Uncle went to pick Aunty from the daycare centre. Helped Uncle prepare dinner after that and got William to send me to the airport to take the coach to Stansted Airport.
It was drizzling and the coach took forever to get to the stand. I was actually wondering if it would ever arrive or whether I'd already missed it. Thankfully it showed up a few minutes late. Not many people on the coach though.
Definitely could not read my book like I had planned to but got to watch SATC through the window because the passengers in front of me were watching it on their notebook. Was exhausted halfway through the journey but woke up suddenly because we were no longer on the motorway and it was pitch black.
Arrived at Stansted early and got myself a Latte and sat down at the International Arrivels gate to wait. Mum + Dad finally came out with Aunty Irene and Uncle Brian, I think probably 1 hour later. It was really nice to see them again. Been so long...sigh
Uncle Brian drove us back to Luton and we chatted with Uncle John for a while before he turned in for the night. Now I can't sleep because of the Latte...-_-
Maybe I'll watch drama online or something^^

Internet deprived
I've been waking up early for the past couple of weeks to head to Uni and use the Internet connection. Am really deprived...and can't do many things without it.
Sucky that I can't play any games using the Uni's computer...
Hopefully when I go down to Luton tomorrow, I won't be complaining so much. HaHaHa
Now...Facebook time

just my luck
Was at the MIRIAD Drop-In to print out some stuff. I think it was probably after lunch hour when we began walking to the bus stand. We saw the bus driving past us about 2 minutes before we reached the stand and thanks to my 'smart-thinking', we rushed to another stand that was nearby, hoping to catch the same bus back.
The winds were so strong those couple of days and I accidentally knocked one corner of an uneven pavement and fell flat on the ground. Dearie was shocked because it was so unexpected and I barely remember cursing just before I dropped.
I've got this deep cut on my right palm and grazed my left knee. -_-
Hurts so bad right now, even to walk! All because of my silly suggestion to rush and catch the same bus. Ended up waiting for another for 15-20 mins with the cold wind blowing at my injuries >.<
