irritated
It's one of those days when your gut tells you bad things will happen. Nothing much happened except for the submission of the Learning Record and some personal stuff...(sigh)I was finally done with the writing. Actually wrote more than expected but who cares, as long as I get the message through and cross the border. After consultation on Tues, I had difficulty updating the first part of the Learning Record. Don't know what's wrong with me sometimes; the bullet points are there but I can't seem to make them into sentences, let alone anything that is academic. Was supposed to design a layout after that but just had no inspiration. I was doing this, doing that, but not laying out the LR. (sigh) I suppose I could've technically just print out from Word but am always reminded of how mind-stabbingly persistent his words are...
Anyway, I think 4 is my unlucky number. So is 13. (haha) Oh whatever...it's pretty obvious now that this brain and body's been awake for more than 24 hrs and needs to sleep. Am making myself blog because I'm unhappy. I doubly backed up my PDF files to print out at the labs. I was horrified when I saw that the fancy fonts I used had been replaced. Classmate suggested I go all the way home to re-export the file. I was reluctant because that would take even more time and I didn't want to mess up anything. So I checked every single page which h had that font...somehow it looked funky and so I decided to print with the replaced font...interesting accident (haha)
Then I had an appointment with the International Office to ask about my visa. My next assessment would start on 26 Jan '09. Exam board on 3rd Feb '09. Which means I can only get my results in February. Visa would have expired by then because it's on 31 Jan '09. My choices would be to fly back straight or apply for a 6-month visitor's visa. I would still need to fly back home after the 6 months because I cannot apply for the 2-year Post-Study Work visa when I have the visitor's visa.
Just my luck right. That means I have to apply for PSW visa from Malaysia which doesn't guarantee an entry clearance. I may or may not get it. 50-50 chance. Besides that, when applying for the PSW visa here, I would need to show that I have £800 in the bank for three months but if I were to do it from home, I would need to show even more money according to Nicola. Apparently the Home Office cannot extend the visa if it was only to wait for assessment results.
I seriously don't know what to do now. Most probably have to go talk to MIRIAD first to see if they can help me. If not i'll be doomed. Just when I thought I had too much to think about already...
